Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Chimney Cleaning Before & After in Fort Worth, TX
Anyone can say they clean chimneys. Seeing the inside of a flue before and after a sweep is different. The photos below show what actually comes out of Fort Worth chimneys, how we document every job, and what your fireplace should look like when a technician who trained on this work finishes. We send every customer this same photo record, because you shouldn’t have to take our word for it.

Third-Generation Fireplace, First Cleaning in 11 Years
Before
After
Before
AfterThe problem: a home near TCU had a fireplace that had been used heavily every winter, but no one had booked a sweep since the year the Rangers made their first World Series run. The flue had glazed creosote (the tar-like residue smoke leaves behind, hardened into a shiny, crusted layer), which burns at furnace-level temperatures and is how a lot of chimney fires start. We ran a mechanical sweep with a rotary whip to break the glaze, then hand-brushed the smoke chamber above the damper. The result: flue walls back to bare masonry, a draft that pulled properly again, and a homeowner who could finally see, in photos, where eleven years of buildup had gone. The written price was in hand before we started, and the before-and-after photos were in her inbox before the truck pulled away.
Gas Fireplace Repair: Pilot Light That Refused to Stay Lit
Before
After
This was a gas fireplace, not a wood-burning one, but the work falls squarely in our lane. The homeowner lived over in Arlington Heights and told us the flame would light, hold for five minutes, then cut out, which is the classic sign of a failing thermocouple, the small sensor that tells the gas valve it’s safe to keep flowing. We confirmed it had corroded to the point where millivolt output was too weak to hold the valve open. We replaced the pilot assembly, cleaned the burner ports, and verified the venting with a draft test. The owner got a steady flame and a written guarantee on the repair, backed by our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If that repair fails inside a year, we come back. No charge, no argument.
Rent House Sweep in the Near Southside, With Evidence for the Landlord

A property manager hired us because the tenant had mentioned smoke backing up into the room on windy days. That’s rarely just a dirty flue, but the first step is always the same: look, then clean, then look again. The smoke chamber, the open area above the damper where the flue narrows, was holding years of soot and crumbled mortar. We removed it, checked the damper’s range of motion, and confirmed the draft problem was caused by a missing chimney cap, not the buildup. The manager received a photo log through the Relay Visibility Guarantee that showed exactly what we found and what we did. No upsell beyond what the evidence called for.
Firebox Face-Lift in a 1980s Ryan Place Home

Ryan Place has gorgeous old homes, and plenty of them have fireplaces that haven’t been touched since the Reagan administration. This one had firebrick so cracked the homeowner was using the fireplace as a candle niche, not a heat source. We cut out the failed brick, reset the firebox floor with new firebrick, and used a refractory mortar that handles the thermal cycling that wrecks ordinary cement. The repair carries a written guarantee, and the homeowner got a photo record of the before, during, and after. The firebox is now structurally sound and the first fire of the season happened without a single worry about embers finding a crack.
Chimney Cap Replacement and Full Sweep Off Camp Bowie

A homeowner off Camp Bowie had a flue that smelled like wet ash every time it rained, which is exactly what it sounds like: water mixing with creosote inside the flue, creating an acidic slurry that eats at mortar. The old cap had rusted through in places. We removed it, swept the full flue, and installed a new stainless cap sized correctly for the flue’s draft requirements. The proof was in the photos before we buttoned it up, showing a clean flue and a cap that will keep the rain and the grackles out for years. The owner didn’t have to guess whether the repair mattered, because the camera showed it.
